The Third Battle flag was the final national flag, flown as it neared its end of the war. The 3rd Battle Flag features the Battle Flag in the upper left corner, with a vertical red stripe on the right side. This is a modified version of the Second Battle National Flag, which had only the Battle Flag on a plain white field. The "Bloody Stripe" was added to differentiate the flag from the white flag of surrender and prevent further confusion on the battlefield.
The 3 x 5 ft. 3rd Battle flag is made of heavyweight SolarGuard nylon, finished with two rows of stitching on top and bottom and four rows on the fly end and made with a strong canvas header and brass grommets. Made in the U.S.A.
